In April 2023, students at Chetwynd Junior School in Nuneaton helped their school become the first in the UK to receive the Gold level Rail Safe Friendly certificate. As well as watching the rail safety broadcasts on Learn Live in school and sharing them with parents, the KS2 students all created posters to promote the dangers of stepping onto the tracks.
The winning posters were then awarded prizes from the Mayor and Mayoress of Nuneaton with the Headteacher receiving the Gold level certificate for the school.
